OK so here's the story so far:
I've been out to the mountains(mostly sunshine) to really get a feel for the speed aspect of this insane sport. Unfortunately for me, that's not quite what I need right now. For you see, I've just got back from a training night at COP where the next SBX race will be held this Saturday.
What the Hell have I gotten myself into?
Its a LOT more difficult than I can remember.
The drop from the gate is very steep, and the rhythm section immediately following is very treacherous. I'm also having some problems coming out of a roller, I seem to drift sideways a bit at the top. I feel this is in turn to my lack of experience with the whole sport.
Bottom line:
I need to keep getting out there and doing my very best. I gotta get up after every fall and really focus on what I need to work on.
I am a very good snowboarder on the alpine slopes. I just have to find a way to take that confidence up about 300 notches.
